Newmarket Man Died In Route 101 Motorcycle Accident: Candia, NH – A motorcyclist died in a crash on Route 101 Saturday night, according to New Hampshire State Police. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway. Ralph Cummings, 44, of Newmarket, lost his life in the accident. Police cited a preliminary investigation that indicated Cummings was traveling at a high rate of speed. A 24-year-old Irvington man was shot in Maplewood on Friday, May 31, authorities said. At 11:30 p.m., officers responded to Jacoby Street near Brown Street on a report of shots fired an found a 24-year-old man lying in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds, Maplewood police said in a release. A 16-year-old girl was killed in a weekend crash in Loudoun County, police said. Leilana Schwartz, of Lovettsville, was behind the wheel of a 1997 Honda Civic when she pulled into the path of a Volvo SUV heading west on Loudoun Street around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Virginia State Police said. Schwartz was turning left onto East Loudoun Street when she was struck by the Volvo, police said. She was seriously injured and later died. The Volvo driver was not injured.
