47-year-old Brian Allen McReynolds of Clay Street in Claremont was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers Tuesday (June 4) on a warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. McReynolds is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Tazewell County, Virginia for failure to appear. He reportedly failed to appear in District Court on January 17 of this year on a charge of reckless handling of a firearm. Following his arrest, McReynolds was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $20,000, secured. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today (June 5) in Newton.

A 15-year-old girl is missing, the York County Regional Police Department announced on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 5. Lauren Livingston was last seen leaving her home in York Township around 10:45 p.m. on June 4, the police detailed in the release. They are asking the public for help locating her. Lauren is approximately 5’2″ tall, weighs 125 lbs, and has multiple ear and nose piercings. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is calling on local and state authorities to enact new regulations after a massive party caused mayhem for a quiet neighborhood over the weekend.
