A Howell Township man was accused of stabbing his mother to death in their home, authorities said. Robert Parody, 25, was charged with first-degree murder and a weapons offense, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. He was accused of killing his 61-year-old mother Loretta Parody on Monday, June 3. One person was killed and a driver is at large following an early-morning crash involving a pedestrian in Montgomery County on Monday, according to police. An investigation was launched after a pedestrian was fatally struck shortly after 1:15 a.m. on June 3 in the 1000 block of University Boulevard in Takoma Park, investigators say. Gwendolyn Blake Obituary – A Monroe County woman died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning. Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley identified the victim as Gwendolyn Blake, 68, of Prairie. The crash happened shortly before 6:27 on Highway 45 Alternate at Strong Road in Prairie. She died at the scene of the crash, the coroner said. The driver of the second vehicle went to the hospital.
