Tuesday’s collision between a motorbike and a pickup truck on Bloomington’s south side claimed the life of a 28-year-old man. According to police, the collision occurred at the junction of Center and Bissell streets at around 7:45 a.m. At a nearby hospital, the motorcycle rider was declared deceased. Police said no one else was injured. In order for the McLean County coroner to inform the victim’s family, the victim’s identity is being kept private. Ophelia Barton, 15, is the subject of an Iowa Amber Alert after it is believed that she was kidnapped in Iowa City, according to local authorities. It is advised that anyone with information immediately dial 911.
