Jayqon Bethley Obituary, Death; – The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in the death of an individual on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 2.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Jayqon Bethley. As reported by BRPD, detectives suspect that Bethley was engaged in a dispute with two unidentified individuals around noon in a parking lot located on Rosenwald Road.
Authorities stated that as Bethley and a passenger attempted to leave the scene, one of the individuals discharged multiple rounds into their vehicle. Bethley subsequently drove himself to a hospital, where he succumbed to his gunshot wounds, according to police reports.
