Loralea Fox Obituary, Death; – One individual has lost their life, and another is facing felony charges following a hit-and-run incident in Haltom City on Saturday, according to police reports.
Emergency responders from Haltom City arrived at the scene after receiving calls about an unresponsive woman lying in the roadway around 4 a.m. in the vicinity of the 5000 block of NE 28th and Field streets.
The victim, identified by authorities as 54-year-old Loralea Fox, received immediate medical attention but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators revealed that Fox was walking westbound when she was struck from behind by a pickup truck driver, who fled the scene without offering assistance or reporting the accident.
The driver has been identified as 20-year-old Adrian Rodriguez from Edgecliff Village. Police located Rodriguez and his vehicle in Medford, Oklahoma, and he was apprehended on Tuesday without incident.
Rodriguez faces a felony charge of second-degree collision resulting in death. Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the incident, including the reason for his presence in Oklahoma. It remains uncertain whether Rodriguez has secured legal representation.
The police stated that the investigation is still active, and further charges may be pursued as additional evidence and witness testimonies are gathered.
