Thomas Kanzelberger, a 2023 graduate of Ohio’s Steubenville Catholic Central High School, regrettably passed away. When he passed away, he was 19 years old. The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art declared him deceased in a statement that said, “We regret to inform you that one of our students, Thomas Kanzelberger, passed away yesterday.” We do not yet know the circumstances surrounding Thomas Kanzelberger’s cause of death.
Thomas was getting ready to begin his sophomore year at Catholic University, having just completed his freshman year. Thomas, who was 19 years old, was concentrating on conducting and performing music while he pursued a B.A. in music. In his hometown of Steubenville, Ohio, he attended Steubenville Catholic Central High School, where he ultimately graduated in 2023. Thomas was an exemplary Catholic who loved Jesus and gave many young people hope. He was beloved by many at the school, and his upbeat attitude permeated the entire space.
The social media post from Steubenville Catholic Central High School read, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Thomas Kanzelberger (’23) earlier this evening. “Thomas will be much missed because of his intense involvement in the CCHS community. Additionally, CCHS stated, “The students will be assembling at the school tonight at 9:30 for a Rosary. If you can join them, please do so. May God console everyone who knew him and bless his family.
This Thursday at 7 PM, Father Michael Gossett and Mrs. Stueve will organize an adoration to pray and honor the life of Thomas Kanzelberger, according to Steubenville Catholic Schools.
