Banchamlak Abuhay Bogale Death – The individual who lost their life in a shooting incident on Stone Mountain Highway has been identified as Banchamlak Abuhay Bogale, aged 50. The tragic event occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, as confirmed by the Gwinnett County Police on Monday. Unfortunately, Bogale was pronounced deceased at the scene by authorities.
The alleged perpetrator, Abera Ayana, a 67-year-old resident of Stone Mountain, was apprehended by bystanders present during the incident. According to the police, the shooting was a result of a domestic dispute.
Ayana faces multiple charges including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail without the option of bond, as stated by law enforcement officials.
