Police in Baltimore executed a massive bust that led to the recovery of upwards of 30 pounds of pot products, officials say. A barber calling police on his neighbor shot and killed him while on the phone with dispatchers, authorities in Montgomery County said. Stephen Strassburg, of Hatboro, was on the phone with dispatchers when 41-year-old Maurice Byrd shot him just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. The incident occurred in Orange County a little after midnight on Sunday, June 9, in the city of Newburgh. A teenage suspected car thief fleeing police plunged to his death at the George Washington Bridge before dawn Sunday, authorities said. The 19-year-old driver fled from a traffic stop by officers from the NYPD’s 52nd Precinct in the Bronx shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 9, they said.
