Charlotte Fire officials say the closure is in the 1500 block of West Arrowood Road, a half-mile west of Interstate 77. Piedmont Natural Gas is on scene with Charlotte Fire. WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – The Biden administration finalized a rule on Tuesday to prevent unpaid medical bills from showing up on credit reports. The rule from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will remove $49 billion in medical debt for 15 million Americans, according to the White House. “This will be lifechanging for millions of families, making it easier for them to be approved for a car loan, a home loan, or a small-business loan,” Vice President Kamala Harris said in a statement. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Medic has reached an agreement to temporarily extend its contract with the Charlotte Fire Department. The Mecklenburg County ambulance service announced Tuesday that it’s extending the agreement for six months through a memorandum of understanding. The two agencies had until Jan. 9 to reach a deal.
