WASHINGTON, D.C. – An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Northeast D.C. early Thursday morning. At approximately 3:21 a.m. on June 20, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4400 block of Hunt Place, Northeast. Upon arrival, they found 21-year-old Marcellus Jackson lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Following an investigation, 32-year-old Antonio Johnson, who has no fixed address, was arrested later that day and charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed. An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash Thursday (June 20) in Lincoln County. The deceased is 23-year-old Jacob Michael Bentley of Lincolnton. According to the Galveston Island Beach Patrol, the teen was swimming near Pleasure Pier around 3 p.m. when friends told a lifeguard he couldn’t get back in.
