Mulain Chin Obituary – A 79-year-old woman from Weymouth was discovered deceased in the water at Pond Meadow Park on Monday afternoon. The woman, identified as Mulain Chin, had gone to the park for a walk with a family member, as stated by David Traub, spokesperson for the Norfolk County district attorney’s Office.
Braintree police informed the office about the ongoing investigation around 2:30 p.m. on May 6. A State Police detective from the DA’s office also arrived at the scene to assist Braintree police. According to Traub, the family member alerted a Braintree police officer in the park when Chin did not reach the expected location. She was found in shallow water close to a small bridge.
Traub mentioned that there were no indications of foul play, and further details will be revealed after receiving results from the medical examiner, possibly by Thursday. Pond Meadow Park is situated on land that covers both Weymouth and Braintree.
