A man’s vehicle was stolen during an armed robbery in North Haven on Sunday.
Officers received a report of the robbery on Hartford Turnpike around 5 p.m. when the man called 911 and said his 2020 BMW M3 was stolen, according to the North Haven Police Department.
The man told police he had parked his vehicle at an apartment complex and was going to visit a friend when two males allegedly approached him from behind and pressed something into his lower back, ordering him to empty his pockets, police said. The man said he believed the object was a gun.
The man said he complied before the robbers fled the area in his vehicle. A second vehicle believed to be involved was driven away from the area as well, according to police.
No injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with video surveillance that captured the robbery to come forward.
