A firefighter was injured battling a two-alarm house fire in New Haven that left seven people displaced.
Crews responded to a report of a fire coming from the roof of a home at 173 Fulton St. around 5:50 a.m. and found fire in the attic of the 2 ½ story building, according to the New Haven Fire Department.
A second alarm was activated as firefighters began working to put the fire out. All of the occupants had gotten out of the home safely, fire officials said.
The blaze took about an hour and 20 minutes to get under control, according to fire officials. One firefighter suffered a shoulder injury.
All seven people in the home were displaced, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
