A hotel in Windsor Locks that lost its heat and electricity has been condemned, displacing 20 people.
The Bradley Inn at 5 Ella Grasso Drive was condemned last Thursday by the town’s building inspector, according to First Selectman Jonathan W. Savino.
Savino said the inspection found that the facility had no electricity, heat or hot water. He said 20 people who were residing there were displaced and have been assisted by the town’s Social Services department. Officials worked to relocate them to other hotels, according to Savino.
Officials notified the hotel owner of the condemnation as well as the state Department of Health-North Central District and the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office.
“The town of (Windsor Locks) will continue to coordinate with the appropriate agencies as needed,” officials wrote in a statement.
