On the recommendation of our Peace and Social Concerns Committee, the Hartford Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) reviewed and approved the following minute registering our deep distress over the Trump administration’s policy of sinking alleged drug trafficking boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.

The minute reads:

Hartford Monthly Meeting of Friends (Quakers)  strongly condemns the United States’ use of military force to sink boats and kill individuals along the coasts of Venezuela and Columbia. We consider these reckless actions to be morally reprehensible violations of international law.

Wonder what America might look like with zero immigration? Here’s an idea.

Creating a “narco-terrorist” designation is not a justification for executing alleged criminals without a trial, much less for possibly killing innocent people. In the absence of any concrete evidence to the contrary, the United States is guilty of a grave abuse of power.
