Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez Death – A man currently under custody in Fort Bend County has been apprehended for the homicide of an individual he was accused of stalking, as stated by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. On April 26, deputies from FBSCO were dispatched to the 25500 block of Fulshear Fast Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, identified as 29-year-old Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez, with multiple gunshot wounds next to a car in a ditch.
Regrettably, Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that Rodriguez was a resident of the Houston area. A witness reported hearing at least three gunshots but was unable to identify the source. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Rodriguez had been stalked by a man named Elton Jones Gainza, aged 36.
It is believed that Gainza followed Rodriguez and subsequently shot him on Gaston Road. Gainza’s arrest warrant was obtained through the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force, who apprehended the suspect.
Sheriff Eric Fagan expressed his dismay, stating, “This was an utterly senseless act that resulted in the loss of a valued member of our community. Such acts of violence deeply undermine our sense of security and unity.”
A judge has set Gainza’s bond at $500,000.
