Raelyn Schultz and Ximena Navarro Obituary West Union, Iowa: We report the untimely deaths of two young people, Ximena Navarro and Raelyn Schultz, who each made a lasting impact on their communities, with sorrowful hearts. After a devastating tragedy, 9-year-old Raelyn Schultz of Alpha, Iowa, bravely battled in the intensive care unit.
Raelyn passed away from her wounds despite the best efforts of the medical staff and the hopes of her family, leaving a deep sense of loss in her wake. Raelyn’s father, Darrick Schultz, sent a touching statement expressing his profound sorrow: “I want to start by thanking everyone for their kind words, thoughts, good wishes, and prayers. They are everything to us. I regret to notify each and every one of you that our dear Raelyn has gained her wings and is now safely and peacefully in heaven. My heart is broken.
We all know Raelyn is as strong as an ox, but she put up quite a struggle, and we couldn’t let her suffer. We are currently so lost and heartbroken that we don’t know how we will manage without our darling, spunky girl. Please remember our family during this terrible and difficult time in your prayers. She touched the lives and hearts of so many people, and for that I am incredibly grateful. Permit her contagious laughter and love to endure through you, please. This world doesn’t sparkle the same without her here, and she will always be missed. Sweet Rae, you are loved.
Another talented young person, Ximena Navarro, has also experienced a terrible circumstance. Ximena was evacuated to LaCrosse on Sunday night following an incident in the pool; she is presently in critical condition. She has had the support of the Navarro family during this trying time.
“Thank you to all those that have already reached out to help the family. As many of you know, Ximena Navarro, the daughter of Cesar and Diana, was in a pool accident this past Sunday night. She was airlifted to LaCrosse and is in critical condition,” a social media post announced.
The outpouring of love and support is a testament to the strong bonds and empathy that characterize our community. Raelyn and Ximena will be cherished for their colorful personalities and the affection they bestowed onto everyone in their vicinity. We are praying and thinking about their families during this very trying time
