Xiao Ping Death, Naperville, IL—The community is deeply saddened by the passing of Xiao Ping, who lost her long battle with colon cancer on April 4, 2023. After enduring more than nine years of rigorous treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries, Xiao Ping’s death has left a profound impact on her family and friends. Xiao Ping is survived by her husband, George Guillen, and their only son, Owen. In the wake of her passing, George has initiated a fundraiser to address the significant financial burdens they are facing.
The expenses related to the funeral, burial, and a recent trip to China to honor Xiao Ping’s family have been overwhelming. As a single father, George is also striving to ensure that Owen completes his high school education in Naperville, fulfilling Xiao Ping’s final wish. The fundraiser, titled “Help George Fulfill Xiao Ping’s Final Wishes,” was launched with a goal of raising $60,000. As of now, no donations have been received, and George is reaching out to the community for support during this challenging time. The funds raised will help alleviate the financial strain and support George and Owen as they navigate this period of grief and transition.
Xiao Ping was known for her strength and determination, which inspired those around her throughout her battle with cancer. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The community’s support will be crucial in helping George and Owen cope with their loss and fulfill Xiao Ping’s final wishes. The outpouring of support and empathy from the community can make a significant difference during this difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies to George and Owen. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they honor Xiao Ping’s memory and face the future without her. May Xiao Ping rest in peace, and may her family find the strength and support they need from the community.
