Wyatt Carleton Obituary, Death; – A teenager lost his life when a pickup truck veered off the road and into a fire pond in Andover during the night.
The incident was reported just before midnight on Monday. Upon arrival at the location on Currier Road, emergency crews discovered a pickup truck submerged in a small pond utilized by firefighters.
According to firefighters, the truck overturned as it entered the pond, resulting in the cab being fully submerged. The driver, identified as 17-year-old Wyatt Carleton, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Although firefighters successfully extricated Carleton from the truck, their efforts were unfortunately too late to save him. The cause of the accident remains unclear; however, state police indicated that it seems the vehicle may have skidded on some ice prior to the incident.
