Evans’ journey in radio began after earning his Master’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Though he worked in various radio formats throughout his career, classical radio was his true passion. His love for classical music extended beyond the airwaves; he was an avid audiophile and collector of vinyl records, amassing a collection of several thousand slabs in his music library.
Beyond his career in radio, Evans wore many hats. He was a children’s television writer, an educator, and a devoted parent. In his spare time, he could often be found tinkering with his turntable, ensuring that the music he loved sounded just right.
