Worcester Shooting Investigations: I-190 is closed in the vicinity of the site of another shooting in Worcester as a result of the ongoing investigation. The incident occurred less than 90 minutes after another gunshot was reported in a nearby neighborhood.
At approximately 2:13 p.m., Worcester Police Department spokesperson Joe Cersosimo confirmed that dispatchers were informed of an initial gunshot in the vicinity of Heroult Road.. A white residence was encircled by yellow crime scene tape, and police were observed convening outside.
Troopers and Worcester police responded to reports of a male with a firearm on Interstate 190 at approximately 3:40 p.m. According to Trooper Brandon Doherty. The incident has resulted in the closure of both sides of the highway, which is situated approximately one-quarter mile from the residence where the previous gunshot was reported.
