Woodrow Flinchum Obituary, Death; – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Winchester Road during the night.
The coroner reported that 64-year-old Woodrow Flinchum succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries at the UKMC Emergency Department.
In the original report, the Lexington Police Department indicated that a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Winchester Road overnight.
The police received the emergency call at approximately 12:33 a.m. on Wednesday and promptly responded to the incident in the 2800 block of Winchester Road. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an individual with life-threatening injuries.
The victim was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) was dispatched to the scene for further investigation.
Authorities stated that the driver of the vehicle was unharmed, and no charges are anticipated.
