FALMOUTH, VA – A disturbing incident unfolded at the Historic Port of Falmouth when a woman, reportedly intoxicated, assaulted a child by throwing a rock. The assault occurred on Saturday at approximately 6:50 p.m. at 401 River Road. Deputy K.W. Suter responded to the scene following reports from multiple callers about a female in a red bikini who targeted a child unknown to her. Upon arrival, Deputy Suter engaged with the woman and confirmed her intoxicated state. The young victim was promptly taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. The suspect was arrested and transported to Rappahannock regional Jail.
