CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman has been arrested after a child reportedly didn’t eat solid food for several months, according to court documents.
Records show 28-year-old Sarah Weber was arrested early Saturday morning for felony neglect of a child causing serious physical injuries.
The documents state the child did not eat solid foods for about six months and had diarrhea for one month. Weber allegedly did not take the child to a medical professional.
Once taken to a doctor, they confirmed the child was “severely malnourished” and admitted them to the hospital for further evaluation.
Weber was booked under a $25,000 secured bond and has a first court appearance set for Monday, Jan. 6.
