Willie Moton, Linda Scott Obituary – The Milwaukee Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred early Friday morning, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. At approximately 2:45 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 27th Street and Center Street, which is located near Fond du Lac Avenue. It was reported that a 23-year-old driver, operating a black Kia, was traveling at a high rate of speed when they lost control of the vehicle and collided with a traffic pole.
Tragically, both the driver and a 22-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The victims have been identified as Willie Moton (23) and Linda Scott (22) by their family members on Friday morning. According to their loved ones, Moton and Scott had been best friends since their time in high school.
Janet Scott, Linda’s grandmother, shared with 12 News that the two friends had visited Potawatomi Casino late Thursday night before heading to a bar. She described their bond as inseparable, stating, “They were like two peas in a pod, they were like sister and brother. You know, you see one, you see the other.”
Linda Scott was a devoted mother to a two-year-old son and worked as a home healthcare worker in Milwaukee, where she was born and raised. Moton’s family revealed that he was employed as a healthcare technician at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s. He was known for his sense of humor, outgoing nature, and caring personality.
This tragic incident occurred just one day after another high-speed crash claimed the lives of three individuals near 50th Street and Oklahoma Avenue in Milwaukee.
