William Nichols,Christie Nichols Obituary, Death; – Two individuals who lost their lives in a crash in the Pee Dee region this week have been confirmed as a married couple.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee reported that 31-year-old William Nichols and 30-year-old Christie Nichols, residents of North Carolina, perished in an accident on U.S. 52 near Dovesville on Wednesday.
According to LCpl. Lena Butler of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. when a Nissan Altima collided with a Toyota Camry, both of which were traveling southbound on the highway.
The collision caused the Toyota to veer left of center, ultimately resulting in a collision with a Ford F-350 that was heading north. William Nichols was identified as the driver of the Toyota, while Christie Nichols was a passenger. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, as stated by Hardee.
A passenger from the Nissan, along with all three occupants of the Ford, were transported to hospitals for medical attention. No additional information regarding their conditions has been disclosed. The driver of the Nissan sustained no injuries. Further details are not currently available.
