William Horton Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you of the demise of William “Randy” Horton, a former law enforcement officer who died away on Tuesday, April 2nd. It is with a heavy heart that we want to inform you of his passing. We are very sorry that we are required to inform you of this information. During his more than thirty years of service with the Tipton Police Department, Randy was a distinguished law enforcement officer.
Over the course of thirty years, he served in that position as an employee. In 1969, during the month of September, he was formally hired on as a Patrolman. This occurred in the year 1969. Randy was advanced from the position of Patrolman to that of Sergeant, then from Sergeant to Captain, and finally from Captain to Assistant Chief during the course of his career. Additionally, Randy was promoted from Captain to Assistant Chief.
At some point during his tenure, each of these promotions took place. Randy decided to retire on April 1st, 2000, which was the first day of April. When Randy retired from the police force, he went back to work for the Tipton Police Department in September of 2001, but this time he was promoted to the job of dispatcher. It was at that time that he began serving in that role, and he continued there until March of 2005.
Randy will be honored with a Celebration of Life service at Heartland Church on the 13th of April, which is a Saturday. This event is going to take place. Visitation will begin at eleven in the morning and continue until one in the afternoon. The time for visiting will begin at eleven in the morning. At one o’clock in the afternoon, the Celebration of Life will get began. This is the time that has been confirmed.
