Wilbur Everett Hobbs,Byron Philip Johnson Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have been identified following a fatal head-on collision that occurred in Florence County on Monday, according to the Florence County Coroner’s Office.
The deceased are Wilbur Everett Hobbs, 70, and Byron Philip Johnson, 46, both residents of Timmonsville. The incident took place on West John Paul Jones Road in Effingham.
The collision transpired shortly after 6:15 p.m., involving a 2011 Kia SUV and a 2023 Chevrolet SUV, as reported by Cpl. Nick Pye. The identities of the drivers of the respective vehicles have not been disclosed.
