Westbound I-96 Accident Today, 1 killed in Clinton County crash, several injured near construction zone; The Michigan State Police have reported a fatal crash on I-96 in Clinton County, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. According to State Police Lt. Rene Gonzalez, the incident involved two semi-trucks and two passenger vehicles.
Lt. Gonzalez explained that the crash occurred on westbound I-96, where traffic was backed up. One of the vehicles failed to brake and collided with the stationary traffic. While the accident did not take place in a construction zone, it did occur in an area where traffic was congested due to construction ahead.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
