The driver of the vehicle that killed the 62-year-old man in a car-pedestrian collision on Saturday west of Sun Valley Boulevard and West O Street has been identified by police. Vanesa Nicole Williams, 30, was identified by Lincoln Police as the driver of the westbound vehicle.
A westbound car struck a 62-year-old man pedestrian who was sitting on a raised center median at 11:46 a.m., resulting in the LPD and Lincoln Fire & Rescue receiving a call. After being taken to the hospital in critical condition, the patient passed away.
Information about him won’t be released until his nearest of kin has been notified. Williams was cited or imprisoned for felony motor vehicle homicide after it was established that he was under the influence of drugs.
