In a separate incident, a man and a woman were found shot on the sidewalk in front of a residence in Waukegan on Saturday afternoon. The Waukegan Fire Department and Waukegan Police Department responded around 4:20 p.m. Saturday to the 400 block of Powell Avenue in Waukegan for a shooting. Officers arrived and reported two victims who had been shot. One of the victims, who was reported to be shot in the head, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. An autopsy is in the process of being scheduled. Officials said the victim, who appears to be a man in his late 20s, has not been positively identified yet.
