CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — We’ll keep the warm temperatures coming, but clouds will roll in as we undergo a transition heading into the weekend. Now would be a good time to download the Pinpoint Weather App as this weekend brings the threat of Severe Weather.
Thursday starts off with 40s and 50s under partly cloudy skies as winds flow out of the south and remain light for most of Thursday. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds as highs make a run for the mid-70s heading into the peak heating hours of the day.

Clouds will linger through the end of the work week as Friday rebounds back into the mid-70s. We’ll see more in the way of spotty showers and upper 70s heading into Saturday as a low-pressure system sweeps a powerful cold front that will spark storms across our central plains and southeast.
Storms will arrive late Saturday into Sunday morning and have the potential to pack a punch in the form of damaging winds. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, so be sure to stay vigilant and weather-aware late Saturday into Sunday.

Sunday morning’s severe impacts will be quick, with the afternoon still hitting the low to mid-70s. We can’t rule out a few lingering showers, but conditions will dry out as we head into St. Patrick’s Day on Monday.
60s will kick off next week with sunshine, and 70s will quickly take hold Tuesday & Wednesday.
Thursday: Mix of Sun & Clouds & Warm. High: 76.
Thursday Night: Mostly Cloudy and Cool. Low: 50.
