Victor Firkus Obituary, Death – The death of Victor Firkus, who resided in Stevens Point, occurred suddenly at his residence on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was 74 years old. It was on June 24, 1949, in the town of Franzen that Victor Firkus was born. He was the son of Vincent Sr. and Stella (Fisher) Firkus, who both passed away.
At the St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, Wisconsin, on February 13, 1971, Victor and Judy Oksuita exchanged their vows and became officially married. Their union resulted in the birth of three lovely daughters. In spite of the fact that they eventually divorced, they never stopped being friends. The game of pool was something that Victor enjoyed doing, whether it was for leagues, tournaments, or just for casual enjoyment.
Karaoke, riding his Can-Am Spyder with his pals, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers were some of his other favorite activities or pastimes. Victor’s love for his three daughters, his grandchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews was the most important thing in his life.
Victor is survived by his daughters; Shelly (Florian) Firkus of Stevens Point, Shannon (Shawn) Brandt of Mosinee, and Stephanie (Matt) Balke of Stevens Point; six grandchidlren; Trina Kizewski, Scott (Amber) Brandt, Leo (Beka) Yenter, Justin (Haley) Yenter, Tanner (Paige), and Braxton; and seven great-grandchildren; Keason, Landyn, Makenna, Autumn, Sawyer, Brantly, Boone, and one on the way! Additionally, he is survived by a brother named Vincent Firkus Jr., in addition to a large number of additional relatives.
The deaths of Victor’s parents, four brothers, Carl, Barney, Albert, and Thomas, two sisters, Christine Stroik and Dorothy Tryba, and three siblings who were still infants came before his own. On Friday, April 12, 2024, at six o’clock in the evening, a funeral ceremony will be place at the Shuda Funeral Home, which is located at 3200 Stanley Street in Stevens Point. At the funeral home on Friday, from four o’clock in the afternoon until the time of the service, friends and relatives are encouraged to get together and share recollections of the deceased. Instantaneously following the conclusion of the service, the funeral will be concluded with full military honors.
