On Thursday, officials confirmed that two individuals lost their lives in the incident. The fire erupted in the early hours of January 29 at a residence located at the intersection of Valentine and Paloma.
Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a house fully engulfed in flames, along with downed power lines, which complicated their efforts to extinguish the fire. Initially, authorities were uncertain whether anyone was present in the home during the fire.
On Thursday, the coroner’s office identified the victims as 50-year-old Veronica Vasquez and 70-year-old Alan Spoldsdoff, who were inside the residence and did not survive. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
