Veronica Buzbee Death: The Lafayette community is coming together to support Veronica Buzbee, who is currently on life support in the ICU following a sudden and severe medical emergency. Veronica’s condition rapidly declined after she flatlined on Friday, August 23, 2024. Her daughter, Kaylee Buzbee, has been left devastated as she faces the heartbreaking reality of losing her mother. Kaylee, just 17 years old, has bravely taken on the task of organizing a GoFundMe page to help cover her mother’s funeral expenses. In a deeply emotional Facebook post, Kaylee shared her anguish, writing, “Mom is in ICU on life support and is not gonna make it… I never thought I would have to see my own mom on life support nor be planning my mom’s funeral.
” Despite the overwhelming grief, Kaylee has shown remarkable strength in reaching out to the community for support during this incredibly challenging time. The fundraiser, which has raised $130 so far, has seen contributions from Eustolio Silva, Noemi Martinez, Shauna Baird, and an anonymous donor. Kaylee has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to those who have already donated and to everyone who has offered their condolences. The outpouring of support has extended beyond donations. Friends and family have taken to social media to share their sorrow and to offer comfort to Kaylee. Misty Martin expressed her sympathy, saying, “Omgosh! I am so sorry to hear this,” while Roxana Rodriguez, who shared a childhood connection with Veronica, wrote, “Oh wow!! We grew up together!
I’m so sorry.” Another supporter, Star Rigsby, reached out with words of solidarity, recalling her own experience of losing her mother in December 2021. As the community continues to rally around Kaylee, offering thoughts, prayers, and financial support, Veronica’s memory is being honored by those who knew and loved her. Every donation and message of support helps to ease the burden on Kaylee during this difficult time, ensuring that she does not face this journey alone. For those who wish to contribute, the GoFundMe page organized by Kaylee remains open, and the Buzbee family deeply appreciates every gesture of kindness and generosity.
