Vanessa Vaughn Death – A 35-year-old female driver operating an SUV was fatally injured in a crash with a large truck in Lancaster early Wednesday morning. The incident took place around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue H and 10th Street West, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The deceased has been identified as Vanessa Vaughn by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, who passed away at the scene.
The woman was driving a Ford Expedition heading north on 10th Street West and allegedly failed to stop at the red light on Avenue H. The sheriff’s department stated, “The semi-truck and trailer were heading east on Avenue H when the Ford Expedition collided with the passenger side of the semi-truck and trailer at the intersection.” Authorities mentioned that it was unclear whether speed, alcohol, or drugs were contributing factors in the accident.
