GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Four people were injured during a house fire near Crowders Mountain, according to Gaston County officials.
Around 6:40 p.m., crews responded to the fire at a house on the 100 block of Twisted Oaks Lane. When they arrived, they saw the home with heavy smoke and visible flames.


Officials said four people were inside the home during the fire. Two people suffered burns and smoke inhalation; One was transported to a medical center in Gastonia and another was flown to Wake Forest Baptist’s Burn Center.
According to Gastonia County Office of Emergency Management and Fire Services, the fire was ruled accidental, but the exact cause has not yet been released. The American Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
