Treyvon Molette Obituary, Death; – Two teenagers were apprehended on Wednesday in relation to a deadly shooting that occurred last month in Robbinsdale, which authorities suspect was linked to a failed robbery attempt.
Police spokesperson John Elder disclosed the information on Friday morning, indicating that a 16-year-old was taken into custody in Coon Rapids, while a 17-year-old was arrested in Bismarck, North Dakota, on January 22. Both individuals were detained under homicide warrants associated with the incident.
Elder commended the residents and businesses of Robbinsdale for their cooperation in providing surveillance footage, stating, “This was paramount in helping us track the path of our suspects.” He further noted that evidence pertinent to the shooting was discovered at both locations of the arrests.
“While the apprehension of these two suspects marks a significant development, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are diligently pursuing various facets of this case.”
As reported by the Robbinsdale Police Department, the shooting transpired near the intersection of Lowry and Indiana Avenues North at approximately 5 p.m. on December 2. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in a crashed vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite attempts to save his life, the man, later identified as 22-year-old Treyvon Molette from Hastings, was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.
