Trenton D. Jackson Death – The 18-year-old who was shot and killed in Jacksonville on Thursday has been identified by the Morgan County Coroner, Marcy Patterson, according to WLDS, our media partner. Trenton D. Jackson, a resident of Springfield, was pronounced dead at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital at 9:25 p.m., as confirmed by Patterson.
Officers were called to the 300 block of West College Ave at 8:13 p.m. in response to a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered Jackson with gunshot wounds.
Although a person of interest has been identified by the police and it is believed that the individuals involved knew each other, no arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Jacksonville Police Department.
