NORTH CAROLINA (PINPOINT WEATHER) — As we close in on the weekend, we are tracking a cold front that will be moving through the Carolinas this afternoon with some scattered showers followed by some cooler weather for Friday.
The weekend will be dry and start off mild before cooler moves in for Sunday and heading into next week. While a few showers are expected later today, more significant wet weather is possible for the middle of next week.

As for your Thursday, partly cloudy skies early this morning will give way to increasing clouds ahead of a cold front. Temperatures will still be warm with highs pushing up into the low 70s this afternoon.
Showers along with a possible thunderstorm are expected as the cold front moves through the region.


For Friday and heading into the weekend, temperatures will stay mild even behind the cold front that will move through later Thursday with highs Friday afternoon in the low to mid-60s.
Saturday will see our temperatures return to around the 70-degree mark before a reinforcing cold front moves through later Saturday. Much cooler temperatures are expected for Sunday with highs in the low 50s.

Next week will start off on the chilly side on Monday with highs in the 50s before we start to warm back up for the middle of the week.
