Torin, aged 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 25, while working on the construction of his family’s dream home in Union Dale. His untimely departure has impacted his family, friends, and the community he served. Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Torin embarked on a journey from Forest City Regional High School to East Stroudsburg University, followed by a stint in the US Marines, before settling in Union Dale. Throughout his life, Torin’s unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community was evident in all that he did.
Torin was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Jessica, and a doting father to his two daughters, Sedona and Piper. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family; he cherished every moment spent with them. Torin had many passions, including hunting, fishing, golfing, volleyball, and shooting pool. He had an infectious zest for life, and his enthusiasm touched the lives of all who knew him. As the owner of East Mountain Construction Company, Torin poured his heart and soul into his work, earning the admiration and respect of his peers and colleagues.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Torin was known for his selflessness and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether assisting a friend with a home renovation project or offering encouragement to a stranger, Torin’s kindness knew no bounds. Torin is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Myer, and their daughters, Sedona and Piper. He is also survived by his parents, Tim and Cathy Myer, his twin brother, Taylor Myer, and his brothers Jeffrey Youells, Justin Youells, and Travis Myer, along with numerous other family members and friends who mourn his loss.
