Tony Jackson Obituary – The body of a man recovered from the “Playpen” area of Lake Michigan on Wednesday evening has been identified as Tony Jackson, a boater who had gone missing over the weekend. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the 58-year-old’s identity and stated that he died by drowning, ruling his death as accidental.
Chicago police reported that Jackson’s body was retrieved from the water at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday in the 600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jackson had fallen into Lake Michigan at the “Playpen” on Saturday afternoon and did not resurface. Search efforts were conducted by rescue teams on Saturday until nightfall and resumed on Sunday but were unsuccessful in locating him until Wednesday.
