Toni Blanchard Obituary, Death – It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Toni Blanchard, the Chief Flight Nurse and Education Supervisor at Acadian Air Med. Toni’s contributions to Acadian and the wider community will be remembered with deep respect and admiration. She was one of Executive Acadian Ambulance Air Services.
Toni’s journey with Acadian began in 1992 when she joined as an EMT. Her passion for emergency medical services and her dedication to patient care quickly became evident. In 2016, she advanced her career by joining Air Med as a certified flight registered nurse and flight paramedic. Her leadership and expertise led to her appointment as Chief Flight Nurse and Education Supervisor, roles in which she excelled.
In her position, Toni was responsible for the education and credentialing of all flight nurses and flight paramedics, ensuring compliance with CAMTS standards. She played a pivotal role in managing the RN clinical practice clearance, auditing flight nurse documentation, and overseeing Air Med’s blood program. Her commitment to excellence set a high standard within the organization.
“Toni was the heart and the den mother of Air Med. She was always there for her staff to discuss problems or concerns while also helping each staff member keep themselves held to the highest expectations of performance. Her biggest impact to Air Med was taking orientation and training to its highest level, and the benefactors were the patients we serve, the community, the flight crews, and Air Med as a whole. Some people can go through life wondering if they made a difference. But not Toni, she made the biggest difference,” said Program Director Marc Creswell.
