The most recent murder victim in Yakima has been identified by the authorities.
After an autopsy on Monday morning, Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice stated that Tolerance Jackson, 30, of Yakima, was shot and died on Friday afternoon. He stated that homicide was the cause of death.
Yakima police are still looking into the homicide in the meanwhile, and an interfaith group is going to hold a ceremony there. On Monday, Yakima police Lieutenant Chad Janis stated that no fresh details on the case could be disclosed.
Following the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old male who was walking in the neighborhood, police were called to the crossroads at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Friday, according to YPD spokesperson Yvette Inzunza.
Jackson passed away right there. Detectives do not currently think that this was a crime connected to a gang.
On Tuesday at noon, the Yakima Association of Faith Communities will hold a “moment of blessing” at the crossroads. The association conducts the rituals in an effort to instill prayer and calm in the region where a violent crime was perpetrated.
