Tina Adkins Obituary, Death;- A woman from Miami County lost her life in a collision that occurred in northern Indiana on Tuesday evening, according to authorities. The incident took place at approximately 8 p.m. on February 26, along US 31 at Southway 31, just south of Rochester in Fulton County.
Initial investigations by the Indiana State Police revealed that a Ford SUV, operated by a 25-year-old man from Michigan, was traveling south in the passing lane when it collided with a Nissan SUV that was inexplicably stationary in the same lane. The Ford impacted the passenger side of the Nissan, causing it to be pushed to the southern side of the intersection.
The driver of the Nissan, identified by law enforcement as 55-year-old Tina Adkins from Peru, Indiana, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were described as “non-life-threatening,” according to a spokesperson for the Indiana State Police.
Authorities have stated that there is no indication that alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
