Tim Kusan Obituary, Death – After a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer, Thomas M. Kusan, age 71, of Galena, passed away in a calm and serene manner late on Friday night, August 11, 2017, at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his untimely passing, which was a tragic event. He was born on December 3, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio, and his parents, Matthew Kusan and Helen (Coley) Kusan, both passed away before he was born. He was the son of each of his parents.
It was at Aquinas High School, where he was a member of the football team, that he was awarded his diploma. Additionally, he shared the boat that belonged to his father with a number of his classmates and taught them how to waterski during their time together. Because of the ties he helped to cultivate and the example he modelled for them, Tom’s classmates from 1963 will miss him profoundly.
The year 2014 marked the year that Tom gladly handed over to his son the company, Quality Air Heating and Air Conditioning, which he had established and had previously owned. In the beginning, Tom was the one who established the company. Their outstanding sales earned them the prestigious Carrier Presidents Award, which was presented to them in celebration of their achievements.
At one point in time, he was taken into consideration as a member of both the S.E. Lions Club and Charity Newsies. Hawaii and Las Vegas were two of his favorite locations to visit, and he and his wife were able to return to both of them a few months ago. Hawaii was also one of his favorite places to visit. Tom, on the other hand, is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Doris; his son Nicholas Kusan and his wife Megan; his granddaughters Molly and Lucy Kusan; his brother James Kusan and his wife Shirley of Gahanna; his sister Judy A. Harrison and her husband Lloyd of Annapolis, Maryland; and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was married to Doris for 46 years.
