Thomas Rooney Obituary – A man has tragically lost his life in a vehicle fire in York County, according to the police. The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 23, when authorities were called to the 2400 block of Pin Oak Drive in Manchester Township at 11:50 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they discovered a white 1994 GMC Safari minivan completely engulfed in flames. The York Area United Fire and Rescue promptly responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. Inside the vehicle, the lifeless body of Thomas Rooney, a 55-year-old man, was found. Witnesses in the area informed the police that Rooney had been getting in and out of the vehicle since 10 p.m. and was frequently revving the engine. The Northern York County Regional Police Fire Investigator collaborated with the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal to conduct a thorough investigation.
Fortunately, no other individuals were harmed, and no additional properties were affected by the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
