Thomas Grady Haddock Obituary, Blackshear – Over the course of the afternoon on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Mr. Thomas Grady Haddock, who was 76 years old and from Blackshear, passed away at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross. Prior to his relocation to Pierce County in 1996, he had been a resident of Darien. He was born in Ellerbe, North Carolina, on February 5, 1948. After completing his four years of service in the United States Navy, Mr. Haddock went on to work for Lockheed Martin and then went on to live and work in Vietnam as a civilian. He would later reenlist in the Navy and continue his service for a number of more years. Mr.
Haddock began his career in the trucking industry by starting out with Anderson Trucking and then moving on to Boatright Trucking, where he is still employed at the present time. He had a deep affection for his coworkers and considered it a privilege to have been employed by them. In addition to being a loving grandfather to each and every one of his grandchildren, Mr. Haddock took great pleasure in spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking his family to the mountains to go fishing and camping. This was one of his favorite activities. With his children and grandkids, Mr. Haddock was able to make up for the things that he did not have throughout his own youth. His life was full with love and happiness because of them, and who could ask for anything more than that? His affiliation with Bethel Baptist Church was well-known.
His father, Samuel Dewitt Haddock, passed away, and his mother, Audley Mildred Smith Gifford, also passed away. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harry Gifford; his wife, Glenda Diane Thornton Haddock; a granddaughter, Hannah Comdeco; and three brothers, Samuel Dewitt “Sammy” Haddock, Jr., Larry Haddock, and Kenneth Smith. Hannah Comdeco was his grandchild.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Ann Easterling, Dianna Lynn (Jeffery) Gray, and Tiffany Cheyanne Easterling (fiancé, Johnathon Perone) all of Blackshear; two sons, Lawrence Wayne (Racquel) Comdeco of Chesapeake, VA and Charles Thomas Haddock (fiancé, Andrea Perkins) of Blackshear; a sister, Brenda (Bruce) Hipps of Waynesville, NC; two brothers, Dale (Sabrina) Haddock of Lake Junaluska, NC and Donald (Darla J.) Haddock of Ft. Myers, FL; 11 grandchildren, Sophia Easterling, Sawyer Handley, Kori Jayde “KJ” Easterling, Kimberly (Rafael) Barros, Jeffrey Gray (fiancé, Allie Carter), Sasha Easterling (fiancé, Cameron Peterson), Nya Comdeco, Cameron Comdeco, Dominic Comdeco, Carina Comdeco, and Camilla Comdeco; 2 great grandchildren, Daxton Barros and Lilian Peterson; and several nieces,
