Thomas Blackmon Obituary – The arrest has been made in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on MacDougal Circle, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man. The incident took place at the 4000 block of MacDougal Circle shortly after 10 p.m. on June 15. Upon arrival at the scene, Lansing Police discovered Thomas Blackmon, aged 35, with a gunshot wound. Blackmon was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
According to Lansing Police, Thomas and the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Keijuan Eskin, were together earlier that evening at Thomas’ residence. The suspect left the premises briefly and returned shortly thereafter. An altercation between Eskin and Thomas ensued, resulting in Thomas being shot multiple times.
Following the incident, Eskin allegedly fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended in Saginaw. He has since been arraigned in Eaton County and is currently being held without bond.
